"Building Skills, Building Smiles" — Learning Life at the Happy Farm Sharing Garden @Nong Chok

The Camillian Home for Children with Disabilities, Ladkrabang, brought children with disabilities from Camillian Home Ladkrabang on a trip to the Happy Farm Sharing Garden in Nong Chok.
During the activity, the children practiced caring for and feeding goats on their own, using fresh leaves as feed. This hands-on experience helps strengthen both fine and gross motor skills, builds confidence in interacting with animals, and most importantly, teaches responsibility and patience in caring for another living being. Beyond agricultural and animal husbandry knowledge, the activity also nurtures essential life skills — working alongside others, adapting to a new environment, and learning to manage daily tasks independently outside the home. These experiences form an important foundation that helps the children become more self-reliant in the future. The Happy Farm Sharing Garden @Nong Chok is therefore more than just a recreational space — it is a place of opportunity, where children with disabilities under the care of Camillian Home Ladkrabang can grow, learn, and discover their own potential through nature and the care of living things. Camillian Home for Children Living with Disabilities, Lat Krabang, held a House Blessing Ceremony for its new Vocational Training Residence and restroom construction project, aimed at improving the quality of life and empowering children with disabilities through vocational and life-skills development.
The ceremony was graciously presided over by Rev. Fr. Peter Phakavee Sengcharoen on 23 May 2026 at Sharing Life Garden (Happy Farm @ Nong Chok).
